National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) - The largest scientific organization in the world dedicated to research focused on the understanding, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders and the promotion of mental health.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) - An agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Focuses attention, programs, and funding on improving the lives of people with or at risk for mental and substance abuse disorders. 

Mental Health America (MHA) - Formerly known as the National Mental Health Association. The country’s leading nonprofit dedicated to helping ALL people live mentally healthier lives. With more than 320 affiliates (including the Montana Mental Health Association) nationwide, they represent a growing movement of Americans who promote mental wellness for the health and well-being of the nation – everyday and in times of crisis.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) - The leading nonprofit organization exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research and education, and to reaching out to people with mood disorders and those impacted by suicide.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline - A 24-hour, toll-free suicide prevention service available to anyone in suicidal crisis. If you need help, please dial 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Their mission is to provide immediate assistance to anyone seeking mental health services.
